United Airlines
Active military personnel traveling on official duty or a personal trip can check in extra baggage free of charge (excluding military pet shipments). Veterans also have access to this benefit.
American Airlines
American Airlines (AA) offers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd checked bags complimentary for active U.S. Military Members and their dependents, plus special military fares in some markets.
Spirit Airlines
Active-duty military traveling with Spirit receive two free checked bags and a free carry-on, in addition to the already-free personal item. Arrive early and present your U.S. Military ID at the counter.
Frontier Airlines
Frontier provides one free personal item, one free carry-on, and two free checked bags after presenting a Common Access Card with uniformed services affiliation. Waivers apply to the active-duty individual only — not family or companions.
Air Canada
Members of the Canadian and U.S. Military are entitled to an enhanced baggage allowance on Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, or Air Canada Express flights, with each bag weighing 70 lbs or less. Applies to both personal and duty travel.
Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines offers special military fares to active duty military and their dependents in some markets, with maximum baggage exceptions — check up to 5 bags for free.
Hawaiian Airlines
Active-duty, retired, or retiring military personnel with proof of official government travel orders (and qualified dependents) are allowed four complimentary checked bags per person across coach, first, and business class — each bag limited to 70 lbs and 80 linear inches.
